Riverfront Regional Park in Windsor (post office says Healdsburg) has a beautiful picnic ground under the redwoods and a 2-mile loop around a lake. Click picture or here (we’ve been there a couple of times.)

Also, by the Russian River is the Cloverdale River Park. The view of the river is better and the trail is paved. Picnic grounds here too. Less than 2-miles.

It makes sense, the north county does have many flat walks due to the mountains. And the mountains are good news for beauty.
Here are some
While it starts as an innocent neighborhood park/walk, if you persevere uphill there’s a woodland, view of the Russian River and in spring a magnificent wildflower meadow. Enjoy Healdsburg Ridge Park.

To the west of Healdsburg is Lake Sonoma and many trails uphill and down. This is a huge area with camping (drive-in or walk-in), boating, fishing and hiking.

Nearer to Santa Rosa in Windsor it Foothill Regional Park. Once you get uphill, you’ll have a relatively flat walk with several ponds to circle.

Has anyone ever heard of a path along Mark West Spring Creek?

I’ve been thinking and looking. Possible Pepperwood Preserve or Safari West have walks. Only other thing I’m finding is watershed information. With 29 miles, it is mostly through private property. You might contact Friends of Mark West Srpings http://www.markwestwatershed.org/creekReport.html
