Walking Country at Colgan Creek

A little short paved path runs from Stony Pt. Rd. (just north of Todd Rd.) to Bellevue Ave. across the street from the track at Elsie Allen High School.

The creek is little more than a ditch part of the flood control system on the Santa Rosa plain, but the egrets and mallards don’t seem to mind.

Close to home, we like the path for a short (2.4 mile) walk and a taste of country. I like the opportunity to see open spaces.

And for the shady tree portion of the trail.

Originally designed for a bike route, few bicyclists use the short-cut. But I’m glad it’s there for a short flat non-urban walk.

See you on the trail!
