Spring Walks

Wow the year went so quickly, I entirely forgot winter walks. Here we are in spring.

Plan ahead for your spring walks. Best places for wildflowers. Click on red-colored names or the pictures to go to my walk and for more information.

Sonoma Valley Regional for lupines. My walk was in January fog. For a more sunny vision of the park try this.

Near Wright’s Beach on the bluff for an amazing mix that changes from each creek cut to meadow. I’m leading a Y walk here on April 21st, 10am. Hoping that the warm dry winter will bring more flowers in April instead of the usual peak in May. Also walks around Bodega Head or north of Jenner provide good wildflower shows in late April and May.
Healdsburg Ridge is a climb up a hill but the meadow is fantastic.

Pepperwood by class or other invitation.

Other bets: Helen Putnam, comes with a hill. But you can see wildflowers from the parking lot and flatter paved paths.
