Walking Along the Bay in Tiburon

One of the great things about California, if you can’t walk one place, there’s another great place nearby. Our intention was to take the ferry to Angel Island. But this seems to be a doomed trip. Parking near the ferry is a problem and then we spotted two busloads of kids getting off the busContinue reading “Walking Along the Bay in Tiburon”

We started at an access point to the Sonoma Baylands right off Hwy 37 after turning toward the Sonoma Marin Marina. Not a prettyContinue reading “Walking the North Bay”

The Good, Bad and Ultimately Disappointing

For years we’ve driven across the north end of San Pablo Bay towards Vallejo and I’ve said, “Let’s stop here and take a walk.” Long distance views, colorful wetlands, hundreds of birds and a big blue sky called to me. Good idea. Bad idea. We have stopped at some of the vista points, but weContinue reading “The Good, Bad and Ultimately Disappointing”
